Direct Replacement high flow catted crossover X-pipe So what's the advantage of installing a Pypes 2½ high flow catted X-pipe over other available models? Simply said, crossover X-pipes create more power and torque than traditional H-pipe or the so called "pro chamber" technology. H-pipes no longer operate above 3000 rpm and become a non-functional component. Pypes crossover X-Pipe feature 2½ mandrel bent, 409 Stainless Steel pipe designed to fit in the stock location. Flanges, mounting hardware, O2 sensor rings, reinforcement plates, air tubes and ball flare connections are all standard features and are designed to fit both stock manifolds, short headers, automatic or standard transmission.
