1.
Your computer code is a 4-character code that will consist of three letters and one number. BEH2 is an example of a computer code. Click-Here for example images.
2. On 1997 and Newer Gas Vehicles, a copy of the sticker with the computer code is located on the passenger side door jam, between the hinges. If it is not located there, it may be behind the passenger-side kick panel where the computer is also located. The ECU always has at least one sticker with the code. You will need to remove the two (2), 7mm bolts, and slide the plastic cover out in order to see the code on the black plastic cover on the computer port. Click-Here for example images.
3. On 1997 and Newer Diesel and V10 Super Duty trucks, V-10’s, and PowerStrokes, a copy of the sticker with the computer code is on the driver's side door jam, between the hinges. If not it is not found there, look behind the driver-side kick panel, where the computer is also located. The ECU always has a least one sticker with the code. You will need to remove the two (2), 7mm bolts, and slide the plastic cover out in order to see the code on the black plastic cover on the computer port. Click-Here for example images.
4. In Some Cases, The Computer May Have Been Updated. Check under the hood and in the door jams for a Factory Reprogram sticker. If your vehicle's computer has been updated, there will be a sticker (1" by 1") under the hood or door jam, usually on the flat plastic surface on top of the radiator. Dealers usually update your computer, whenever an update has been issued, without your knowledge. The reprogram sticker should have a series of numbers and letters (example: F81F-12A650-BG). RPM Outlet will need these numbers as a cross reference for your computer code. If your computer has been updated, the 4-digit code is most likely incorrect, and the Superchip or DiabloSport will not function properly.
5. If You Cannot Locate Your ECU or The ECU Code, please call or send an e-mail to george@rpmoutlet.com for the code location information on other makes.
6. In The Event That DiabloSport Does Not Have Your ECU Code Available, you will need to ship your ECU to us for an initial reading. This free service usually takes 2 business days. We will priority ship your ECU back to you when the reading is complete. Your ECU will not be harmed during this process; we simply download the memory contents for tuning. During this time, unless you have a replacement ECU available, your vehicle will not operate. Please make arrangements for this process before ordering. Thank you.
7. Some ECUs May Require Simple Soldering before the J3 service port (where the DiabloSport chip is plugged in) is functional. If this is the case, we will contact you. View Jumper locations
