What is the DiabloSport Predator? The DiabloSport Predator is a state-of-the art, high performance tuning flash programmer in a sleek handheld design. Once connected to the vehicle, the Predators internal computer recognizes the vehicles PCM and automatically picks the proper tuning files designed specifically for that PCM. Inside the Predator's memory are the actual tuning files that optimize spark timing and air/fuel ratio curves giving your vehicle up to 3 MPG improved fuel economy. The transmission parameters are remapped to improve the shift characteristics such as shift firmness and shift points. Are you looking for a custom tune for your vehicle? RPM does understands that not every vehicle is identical and that vehicles with certain custom modifications require special attention. The DiabloSport Predator and DiabloSport TRINITY programmer contains tunes designed for stock and mild bolt-on modified vehicles. They have a limited amount of user adjustably that allows users to help dial-in A/F ratio, spark, etc. Some feature selections also allow for MAF and injector changes, but can run into complications due to subtle variances in vehicle configuration. A custom tune by RPM will allow the tuner/programmer complete adjustably of about 1000 to 3000 different variables (depending on the year/model) in the vehicles computer to accommodate for multiple modifications. This allows tunes to be created directly for a car's specific configuration, and is the only way to tune a heavily modified vehicle. What is the PC Interface Kit? PC Interface Kit allows you to connect your Predator to your PC. This is necessary if you want to: *Update Predator software revision * Export your Current Tune from predator to your PC This is needed if you want a Custom Tune to be created for your vehicle. *Upload Custom Tunes into the Predator Custom Tunes are available from your DiabloSport dealer. *Ford vehicles only: Export the Live Data Log from the Predator to PC in order to be viewed using our free Windows DAT Viewer *Ford vehicles only: Stream the Live Data while driving from the Predator to laptop in order to be viewed using our free Windows DAT Viewer. What comes with the Kit? The PC Interface Kit contains a DiabloSport approved DB9 to DB9 serial extension cable and a 12 Volt 1 Amp power supply. You can also use your own cable and/or power supply, or buy them from other sources: *The cable is a standard (straight-through) serial cable, also called DB9 Male-Female cable or DB9 9-wire Serial Cable Extension.
