Prevent Pre-ignition caused by higher cylinder temperatures found in supercharged, turbo, and nitrous powered vehicles. Pre-ignition overheats spark plug tip which acts
like a glow plug to ignite the charge sooner then scheduled adding a tremendous load on the engine, reducing power increasing considerable heat, and potential serious engine damage.

180° Low-Temperature Thermostat
|
FYI: A low-temp thermostat improves performance
in two ways: first by increasing the mass flow rate of intake
air, and second by reducing the engine's tendency to detonate.
From the laws of physics, cooler air is denser than
warmer air. Since horsepower increases as the amount of air
and fuel burned increases, cooler air (with more air molecules
per cubic inch) makes more power. The
low temp thermostat allows the engine to cool down to a lower temperature
than the factory thermostat to make more power. At the drag races, water can be sprayed
on the radiator between races to drop the temperature and improve performance. A low temp thermostat ensures that you leave the line at the same temperature on each run to give consistent maximum performance for bracket racing.
A lower temp T-stat reduces the temperature of both
the incoming air/fuel mixture and the surfaces of the combustion
chamber, greatly reducing the tendency to detonate. Detonation is an audible pinging / knocking
sounds, refers to the spontaneous explosion of the unburned air/fuel
mixture in the combustion chamber. Detonation reduces power, and can severely
damage an engine. A lower temp T-stat allows the engine to safely develop more horsepower.

Installing a low-temp thermostat will:
- Increases mass air flow rate of intake air.
- Allow engine to cool down to lower temperature than factory thermostat.
- Reduces engine's tendency to detonate.
- Reduces temperature of both the incoming air/fuel mixture and combustion chamber surface.

Purple Ice
Purple Ice® is a high performance, synthetic, radiator coolant additive for both gasoline and diesel engines. It is formulated to reduce the surface tension of the coolant, which improves heat transfer through the cooling system while providing additional protection against rust, corrosion and erosion.
Purple Ice® prevents the formation of scale deposits in the radiator for optimum coolant flow and lubricates the seals of the water pump. It is ideal for use in straight water racing applications or in antifreeze / water mixtures.
Purple Ice® is compatible with traditional ethylene glycol antifreeze (green) and GM Dex-Cool® antifreeze coolants. Purple Ice should not be used in new radiators until anti-freeze has been cycled through the
