C&L Complete MAF System for the 05-08 V6 Mustang is much more than a "cold air" kit. It is a complete system that truly addresses every aspect of improving the air intake on the all-new Mustang.

When you purchase C&L's complete air intake upgrade, you will receive everything to replace the entire air intake assembly from the throttle body forward. This includes V6 specific TRUEFLOW air inlet tube with hoses/clamps/fittings, an upgrade 83mm CNC machined aluminum mass airflow housing, conical air filter assembly, filter shroud assembly, installation tool and instructions.

When installing this or ANY aftermarket air intake upgrade that replaces the factory air filter and meter assembly, you must make the necessary tuning adjustments to your computer. If not, your air/fuel ratio will run considerably leaner than stock and the vehicle will not operate properly, causing undesirable driving conditions. To make these modifications easier for the end user, C&L worked closely with DiabloSport to develop a C&L specific tuning that can be loaded into any existing DiabloSport Predator tuner (this custom tune is available free at RPMOutlet.com)

Installing this air intake assembly on the 05-08 V6 Mustang without any tuning will result in a leaner-than-ideal air/fuel ratio.

While certainly not lean enough to cause engine durability concerns, it is leaner than what is desired for optimum performance. Even when replacing the air filter ONLY to a higher flow assembly, the air/fuel ratio leans out at an alarming rate. Computer re-flash isn't just an option when using the C&L, it's required.

Installation of this kit is quite simple and should take no more than 20 minutes to complete. For installation, you will need; a flat head screwdriver, a Ľ drive socket wrench with a 10mm/8mm socket and a small adjustable wrench.
